Tips on How to Lure Santa to Your Motel for an After Christmas holiday

Samantha Mckinney

It's a little known fact that Santa, after his super busy Christmas period likes to take a private holiday somewhere warm, to have some rest and relaxation in January. Read on to find out how to make your motel the one he chooses next.

Comfy beds

The big man is tired after all the hard work in December so he likes to have some sleep-ins. He's a big man so needs a big comfortable bed—so saggy double beds won't attract him for a stay. If you've just upgraded the beds, or have extra comfy queen or king sized beds make sure to feature these prominently in the marketing materials.

Air conditioning

While Santa is looking for a warm break, he is used to the cool North Pole temperatures. Air conditioning helps make the room comfy for an afternoon nap or watching the cricket.

Room for the reindeer

A sleigh with reindeer won't fit into a small car only car space. If you have room for extra large cars, boat trailers, or sleighs makes sure to let people know. If you are open to people bringing pets this will also help convince Santa this is place for him.

A restaurant

Mrs Claus is tired of cooking food for all those elves, so if you can offer complimentary breakfasts and an on site restaurant you'll go a long way towards convincing her this in the best motel for a relaxing break.

Adjoining rooms

Santa often brings with him some of the elves who have done something really out of the ordinary this Christmas season but no one sleeps that well when the elves are on a couch pull-out bed. They love facilities with adjoining rooms so everyone can get some rest. That way, Santa and Mrs. Claus can check on everyone to make sure they're comfortable without the need to open and shut doors all the time.

Swimming facilities

If you have a tempting pool or are close to the beach, include some shots of these in your marketing materials as well as Santa loves to have some warm weather paddles after staying in the far North Pole during the cold winter months.

Hopefully these tips will attract Ol' Saint Nick to visit your motel. Even if Santa doesn't quite make it in this season, with a motel this tempting you'll be so full of guests you won't have time to worry.
